One record. Three distinct layers.
The original submission
Public comments retain their official IDs and original body text. We display the name provided by the public profile, or its anonymous/missing-name status. We do not infer a person’s identity from their story. Each comment links back to Regulations.gov.
AI summaries and classifications
AI summaries describe what a commenter reports or requests. Topics are supported by passages from the reviewed text. A review is displayed only when its source hash matches the current record. We preserve different views and separate official submissions, including similar wording.
Research connections
The initial library contains five peer-reviewed publications. Topic-and-text matches are research leads, not individualized medical assessments. Each card identifies the study type, finding, relevance, scope and source. These are curated summaries of the material specified on the card—not claims of a completed systematic review or full-text appraisal.
Experiences deserve attention.
Our aim is to help people articulate questions and connect relevant research without rewriting their experience. A study can support investigating a concern without establishing an individual cause. Where our library has no relevant source, we say so.
What the numbers mean
Topic counts overlap. They are not estimates of illness prevalence, measures of scientific certainty or a representative survey. “Pending” can include attachment-only records. Attachment contents are not automatically included in summaries or audio.
Dates are official posting dates. The most recent day is partial, and delayed posting can change prior dates. Data are updated from exports, not an uninterrupted live feed.
Accessible by design
Topic charts also work as keyboard-accessible buttons. Original comments can be read aloud using the browser’s speech engine, with speed and playback controls. Voice availability and whether speech is processed locally depend on the browser and selected voice.
Built to keep growing
Small chart summaries load first. Comment indexes and full bodies are kept in separate size-limited batches. The browser fetches full text when needed. The same files can be served by a standard static host.
